Innovating to end drowning
We deliver training, rescue programmes and outreach that equip young people, volunteers and professionals with the skills to save lives at sea.
Atlantic Pacific International Rescue is an NGO committed to reducing global drowning.
What we do
Search & Rescue
We deliver lifeboats, crew and training to communities without rescue services, saving lives in local emergencies and global drowning crises.
Education & training
We teach lifesaving and emergency response skills through hands-on courses in powerboating, casualty care and search and rescue. View our course catalogue here.
Community outreach
We run youth programmes and local initiatives that build water safety awareness, leadership skills and confidence in high-risk communities.
Designing sea safety solutions
We design mobile lifeboat stations like Lifeboat in a Box: customised rescue hubs built for regions most vulnerable to drowning and disaster.
Our mission is to combat global drowning out of a universal respect for human life.

This entry-level course provides the skills and background knowledge needed to drive a powerboat.
The course focuses on:
low-speed close quarters handling;
man overboard recovery;
an introduction to driving at planing speed;
and collision regulation.
It is the most popular course within the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) Powerboat Scheme as it introduces people to power-boating in close quarters but also at high speed. The certificate issued will be endorsed to show the type of boat in which the training took place.
